Biography

Hackworth is a relative of the late Col. David Hackworth (1930-2005), well known as a highly decorated soldier and military journalist. They share a common ancestor, John Hackworth, who served with George Washington in the Revolutionary War and was at the Siege of Yorktown and Surrender of Cornwallis.

"CB" is Hackworth's full given first name, as listed on his birth certificate. The letters are not initials, and the name contains no periods and no space. He has no middle name.
