Biography

Nate has worn various hats during his time in Los Angeles, as a writer, director, producer and actor. His success as a writer/producer/actor began with his scripted comedy series, 'Workshop,' which was nominated for 16 awards. Season 2 of 'Workshop' is the first ever independently produced half-hour comedy to air on Hulu. Nate is the creator and executive producer of the series, and one of the stars of the show.

Shortly after 'Workshop,' Nate released his science fiction short film, 'Briefcase,' which found immediate critical success, and was featured on over 75 film sites worldwide. Netflix licensed 'Briefcase' for worldwide marketing and advertising use.

Nate's second digital comedy series, 'My Synthesized Life,' marked Nate's directorial debut, in addition to being executive producer and a recurring character in the show. 'My Synthesized Life' was nominated for four awards, and garnered Nate a Best Director nomination.

After the release of 'My Synthesized Life,' Nate sold everything and took a job teaching English in a small country town in southern Japan. Upon his return, Nate wrote his first book, 'Journey of Self: Six Months in the Japanese Countryside,' which immediately became a #1 bestseller on Amazon.

Nate has been written up by TV Guide and Backstage, and has been a featured speaker at SAG-AFTRA three times. Nate's national fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, has featured him in their Road to Greatness campaign, and his alma mater, Colorado State University, has written Nate up in their alumni spotlight program. Nate was honored by the City of Los Angeles for his volunteer efforts with the inner-city literacy organization, United Voices of Literacy.
