His niece is married to actor Richard Coca.

To help finance his western/drama, he took out a second mortgage on his home, and although he did get enough to pay for his film, years later, he now regrets his decision.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Raiders of the Lost Ark are his two favorite movies.

Mentored Aaron Hudson in both the art of cinematography and Avid Editing in 2003 and 2004. Hudson is now considered one of the brightest and most creative Editors in Independent Film circles in Arizona.

He was raised in Arizona, but he was born in New Mexico.
