Biography

In her present position Andrea oversees development of Factual, Scripted and Family series and movies at BeCollectiveMedia. Her responsibilities draw on her 25 years long experience developing, producing and distributing series world wide. Prior to this position, Andrea oversaw Sonar Kids & Family and Factual teams and managed development and production of a wide range of animated, live action and non-scripted series, including "Go Away Unicorn"; "Counterfeit Cat"; "InBetweener"; "Utopia Falls" and "Texas Metal". She also oversees the new Canadian division of Sonar Entertainment. Andrea joined Sonar in 2017 when Sonar acquired assets of Tricon Films and Television which she founded in 2002. Over the past 15 years Andrea has significantly contributed to the overall strategic and creative direction of the company and has been instrumental in navigating the company through the rapidly changing programming demands and industry trends. To date Andrea has produced close to 1000 hours of programming in all genres, for vast numbers of channels in Canada, USA and worldwide. She also serves as Executive Producer on many critically acclaimed series and documentaries. Formerly trained in international finance Andrea brings an important balance between business and creativity to her efforts. Prior to launching Tricon in 2002 Andrea worked as an analyst with several international consulting groups. Her responsibilities included advising foreign financial institutions entering North American markets and strategies within the new markets. She lives with her husband and three kids in Toronto and Los Angeles.
