  • Matt Catanzano is an actor, writer, and comedian living in Los Angeles. He recently performed as part of an NBC/Universal Showcase directed by Mick Napier in LA. He can be seen in the comedy sequel "Daddy's Home 2" starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as well as an episode of Tracy Morgan's new show "The Last O.G." In the fall of 2017, one of his feature scripts was a semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival. Matt is a former Mainstage performer, writer, director, and teacher at Improv Asylum in Boston's North End. Matt worked at both the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals as part of the American Pavilion program for young filmmakers. In 2012, Matt and his writing partner, Richie Moriarty created the YouTube page, "Simply Unemployable" where they write/direct/star in web series and one-off sketches. That same year, they signed as a Channel Partner on Broadway Video's YouTube Channel "Above Average Productions" where they've released web series such as "Portrait STUdio" and "Congressional Hearings." Matt wrote and directed the Above Average sketch "Sex in a Haunted House" which is at 29+ million views on YouTube. Simply Unemployable sketches have been featured on Buzzfeed, Digg, College Humor, NPR, Splitsider, Huffington Post, among others. Simply Unemployable's live shows run in NYC and LA. He can be seen performing in Hollywood with Crowne Comedy at the Comedy Central Stage, East Coast Wasted at the Three Clubs, and CAP at Second City Hollywood. Otherwise, he can be found modeling on such prestigious product boxes as an ad for inflatable pool floats and "personal" massagers.
