Biography

  • "If you’ve been anywhere near a television in the last couple of years, odds are you’re already familiar with Dominic Burgess. The British actor broke through in 2017’s "Feud: Bette and Joan" as actor Victor Buono, before popping up in a number of memorable appearances, playing everything from serial killer John Wayne Gacy in "Dahmer: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" to an accident-prone man on "The Good Place" whose hideous red boots create an existential crisis for Chidi." - Variety Magazine

Dominic Burgess was born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent, England. He was awarded a scholarship at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London, before moving to the USA in 2007. Since then he has amassed an impressive array of roles and gaining critical acclaim for his performances:

"Played with uncanny precision by Dominic Burgess, Baby Jane co-star Victor Buono lets Feud give a nod to the plight of closeted actors in Hollywood at that moment and also to smartly weave in Davis’ treasured ties to the gay community" - Hollywood Reporter

"In Ryan Murphy’s dramatization of the rivalry between Hollywood legends Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, Burgess’s performance as actor Victor Buono was a scene-stealing highlight, quite the achievement when you consider his co-stars included Oscar-winners Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange" - Gold Derby

"Yet the most pivotal performance falls to Burgess, as Duntsch’s longtime bestie Jerry. Burgess has arguably the most difficult role in the series, in that Jerry needs to believe in Duntsch as a kind of medical superhero, despite being close enough to see all of his nasty behavior. If Burgess had been any less emphatic or convincing, the plot twists in Dr. Death would be almost impossible to swallow. Jackson makes Duntsch into a monster; Burgess’ Jerry makes him real, particularly in the show’s finale. He’s absolutely heartbreaking" - Queerty
