Journalist/Storyteller/Speaker/Strategist. Network Correspondent Ex- CBS News & NBC News. Emmy & Peabody Award Winner. Mom of 5. Janet Shamlian covered the biggest stories for more than two decades, and has been awarded multiple Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, a Gracie Award, and an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award. Before joining NBC News, she was a stay-at-home mom to five children. The improbable journey to becoming a network correspondent is documented in the book 'Extreme You' - and informs one of my signature talks "Under Deadline and Overwhelmed: Raising Five Children While Covering The World." Today, She speaks and moderates conversations for leadership conferences, fundraisers, and corporate groups and works with companies and senior executives to prepare for high-stakes interviews and public moments.
