Lucas tested for the TV Series "The Black Donnellys", created by Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco, but ended up losing out to Jonathan Tucker. That same year, he found himself in the movie 'John Tucker Must Die' as a basketball opponent trash-talking Jesse Metcalfe who played John Tucker.
