Biography

Margarida Moreira was born on March 8, 1976 in Lisbon, Portugal. She is an actress, known for The Last Bath (2020), Diamantino (2018) and Portugueses (2025).

She studied Psychology at the Instituto Superior de Psicologia Aplicada, in Lisbon, alongside with her identical twin sister Anabela Moreira.

She has an identical twin sister, Anabela Moreira, who's also a famous actress in Portugal. She's often mistaken for her twin, which she doesn't like, but have learned to deal with it.

Daughter of Afonso Moreira, who gave his name to the Auditório do Cine-Teatro Turim, in Benfica, Lisbon, and wife Helena Ferreira.

I was at the premiere of one of my films and, everywhere in the media, people wrote my twin sister's name - Anabela Moreira. Sometimes I catch people staring at me in a certain way and I realize 'this person is probably mistaking me for my sister'. When people meet me for the first time, I believe they must think 'Anabela is very unfriendly', because I'm not as extroverted as she is.
