Biography

Jackson 5 is known for Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Four Brothers (2005) and The Italian Job (2003).

Group formed in 1964 containing siblings Jackie Jackson, Tito Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Michael Jackson. In 1975, they changed their name to The Jacksons and replaced Jermaine with another brother, Randy Jackson.

Signed to the Motown label in 1968 after a successful audition and released 10 studio albums between 1969 and 1975.

After leaving the record label sans Jermaine in 1976, the Jackson brothers could not use the Jackson 5 name for Motown owned the rights to it as stipulated in the 1969 contract further resulting in renaming themselves The Jacksons.
