- Paul Hartenstein was born on June 8, 1878 in Chemnitz, Germany. He was an actor and writer, known for Männe, wo bleibste denn? (1921), Filmbanditen (1921) and Der Glücksschmid (1919). He was married to Trude Gerecke. He died in 1921 in Berlin, Germany.

- He started his stage career in 1895 and he made his way via the province to the theaters of the big cities. Finally he went to Philadelphia in 1902 where he also appeared as a stage actor.
