Biography

Loida Viriña is known for Somewhere Over the Rainbow (1974), Home Sic Home (1995) and Oki Doki Doc (1993).

Played the lead role Luisa in the radio play, Gulong ng Palad, which was created and written by her elder sister Lina Flor. Gulong ng Palad, however, became Loida's signature creation when she wrote the movie version which was later remade as TV series -- in 1977 and in 2005.

Aunt of Noel Trinidad. Trinida's mother Lina Flor is her elder sister.

While she has been credited as the creator of the the popular TV soap opera Gulong ng Palad (first in 1977 and remade in 2005), it was actually her elder sister Lina Flor who wrote the original radio program.
