Violette Jacquet-Silberstein(1925-2014)

Violette Jacquet-Silberstein is a Romanian-French Violinist, Holocaust Survivor, and Author. While interned as a teenager during the Holocaust, she was a member of Alma Rosé's Women's Orchestra of Auschwitz. Saved by her musical talents, she survived the death of her own parents in the gas chambers upon their arrival in Poland, and a forced march to Bergen-Belsen before the end of the War.
