- I feel what I learned in ballet is with me always, training is something that can never be taken away from you. The discipline it gave me, the overall freedom I feel with my body in general and the incredible appreciation it gave me for dance... those are things I will hold onto forever. But when I first started acting I thought, 'Wow! This is something that I could actually have a career in! I knew it was right'.
- My grandmother told me that for 15 straight years after the war she was completely unable to smile or laugh, that her heart would literally hurt when doing so...except when watching I Love Lucy. Watching Lucy in all her adventures was the only thing that enabled her to escape from the grief she felt so heavily and just enjoy life for a moment.
The fact that a television show had the power to do that was never lost on me.
