- In my own mind, the idea of having Beatles-influenced hip-hop or having Joni Mitchell or Simon and Garfunkel-influenced hip-hop just seems like such a fresh take on it and it's kind of like, I couldn't see why nobody else really had done it before

- I think the term 'pop music,' it's almost like a curse word in music circles nowadays, right? And I don't think it has to be because pop music used to be The Beatles or Nirvana.
