Juan José Luzuriaga is a sound editor and re-recording mixer whose expertise and experience have established him within both the Ecuadorian and international film industries. His training at the prestigious La Fémis film school in Paris provided him with a strong foundation in location sound recording, sound design, and mixing. He has contributed to more than eighty Ecuadorian and international feature films in these fields.
He has received eight nominations for the Colibri Awards, Ecuador’s most prestigious film honors, and has won twice for his sound design work on the films for Submersible (2020) and Resonancia (2013). Luzuriaga’s fluency in English, French, and Spanish has enabled him to collaborate on a wide range of international projects.
