Mini bio

  • An actor and writer, Ben Beckley's work has been seen on hit NBC and Netflix shows, in award-winning independent films, and on and off Broadway.

His TV credits include New Amsterdam, Poker Face, The Onion, and Inventing Anna.

He made his Broadway debut in June 2019 in Heidi Schreck's celebrated What The Constitution Means To Me, for which he wrote and delivered his own personal monologue.

Personal monologues are also a hallmark of his work as co-artistic director of his award-winning theater company The Assembly, with whom he has created eleven original theatrical events.

Ben has originated roles by Tony Award-winners Itamar Moses and Christopher Durang, and experimental playwrights Kate Benson, Kenneth Collins, and Ariel Stess. Other credits include first national tours (Small Mouth Sounds, Peter and the Starcatcher), major musicals (Sweeney Todd, Company), and iconic classical works (King Lear, The Jew of Malta), as well as the 2021 Broadway tour of A Christmas Carol.

Ben is a member of The Actors Center, and like Signourney Weaver and Bradley Cooper, he was a longtime student of Emmy Award-winner Gene Lasko.

Ben grew up in a small town in southern Virginia and graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Dramatic Literature.

He lives in New York City.
