Otero is the director and co-screenwriter of the horror feature film The Devil's Teardrop, his directorial debut, where he also served as Executive Producer. The Devil's Teardrop won the Golden Skull at the 2024 Mórbido Film Fest in the Latin America Category.
An interesting aspect of Otero's life is his dedication to martial arts and combat sports, having earned black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Karate, along with six professional MMA fights.
