E Mani Lee was born and raised in the Bay Area, California, where she developed an early love for sports, music, and performance, participating in choir, orchestra, and directing classmates on stage. At 17, she moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA, ultimately graduating with a B.A. in Psychology.
A turning point arrived after a visit to St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, Italy. Inspired, Lee returned to LA, quit her office job, and pursued her passion by studying music and dance. She immersed herself in the arts, working at a music studio while performing her poetry and music at open mics.
She soon transitioned to film and television, cast as Fan Dancer in Joss Whedon's feature film Serenity. Lee trained in classical theatre at A Noise Within, and continues to study film and TV acting, drawing influence primarily from Meisner technique and Viola Spolin improv. Lee has worked several top shows and films, both comedy and drama.
Lee enjoys staying active with dance, tennis, and energy healing. She speaks Cantonese Chinese, and is an avid sports fan.
