Biography

  • Frank Hall Green is an award-winning producer and writer/director. A partner in Catch & Release Films with Tom Heller, they developed and produced Gonzo Girl (Toronto, Tribeca), directed by Patricia Arquette, starring Willem Dafoe and Camila Morrone. He also produced Run Amok (Sundance 2026 Competition), starring Alyssa Marvin and Patrick Wilson, a satire on gun violence in high schools and the debut feature of director Nitzan Mager. Released in theaters in summer 2026, A Mosquito in the Ear, starring Jake Lacy and Nazanin Boniadi, set in India and directed by Nicola Rinciari, was produced by Frank. As a writer/director, Frank’s debut feature, Wildlike, starred Ella Purnell and Bruce Greenwood. The film was released theatrically, earned a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, won dozens of awards, and screened at more than 200 film festivals. Frank also produced The Outside Story, starring Brian Tyree Henry, If You See Something, Unconformity, and the documentary Getting Naked, among many other indies. Frank holds an MFA from the NYU Graduate Film Program and is also an alumnus of NYU's Gallatin School. He has worked in every role a budding filmmaker should experience, including boom operator. Before pursuing a career in film, Frank worked in the world of startups and venture capital in his hometown of Atlanta. Frank is an avid backpacker, a member of Mensa, and lives on an island off the coast of Georgia.

  • As his thesis film for NYU Graduate Film school, Frank directed a personal documentary "Shooting Script" about his experience being shot (with a gun, not a camera), in the stomach in New York City in 2005 in some sort of mugging/gang thing. Frank put the film on the shelf and never released it.
