Koji Scott Ishida is a Japanese native raised in Maryland, USA. At the age of 18, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue his passion for filmmaking. He began his career working in numerous departments and ultimately, finding his passion in the art of steadicam & camera operating. He is a certified Steadicam/Trinity Operator trained by award winning Steadicam Operator, Chris Haarhoff (Birdman, Fight Club), Robert Starling (Sin city Diaries), and Eric Fletcher (Dexter, True Blood). Koji is skilled in the operations of Arri Trinity, Steadicam, Handheld, Gimbals, Conventional, and Remote Heads (both Wheels & Joystick). His goal is to always bring a Director and Cinematographer's vision to screen to the best of his ability, always ensuring that he achieves the shots wanted.
He is now based in Tokyo, Japan working as a freelance Camera/Steadicam Operator. He is fluent in both English and Japanese, bringing smooth communication and workflow on set. He is ready to travel and work anywhere in the world.
