Marcus Williams, known professionally as So Real, is an independent producer, writer, and recording artist from Tampa, Florida. Through his work as founder of Black Crescent Records LLC, Williams creates cinematic music experiences that combine hip-hop storytelling, visual filmmaking, and narrative world-building.
Drawing from influences across hip-hop, R&B, rock, and classical music, So Real developed a distinctive style centered on personal storytelling and cinematic soundscapes. His creative universe, the So Real Cinematic MusicVerse, explores themes of identity, ambition, authenticity, sacrifice, and the choices people make between recognition and staying true to themselves.
Williams serves as writer and executive producer for his visual music projects, including Day Off, Glass Hearts, and Chemical Solution, which form part of his ongoing Through My Eyes saga. His mission is to create meaningful stories while helping independent artists maintain creative control over their work.
