Bob Landis(I)

Bob Landis is an Emmy Award winning cinematographer best known for filming wildlife in Yellowstone National Park. He was born on July 11, 1940 in Appleton, Wisconsin when his father was forty-two years old. He was the youngest of four children. He hunted ducks, pheasants, grizzly bears and wild sheep along lakes and fields during his childhood. Landis graduated from Appleton West High School in 1958. He later taught mathematics in that same school. Landis and his wife, Connie, moved to Billings, Montana in 1968. Landis taught mathematics once more at Billings Senior High School and Billings West High School. He would spend summers as well as weekends in Alaska's Denali National Park, Montana's Glacier National Park and primarily Yellowstone. Connie passed away on August 27, 2015 at age seventy-five due to lymphoma.
