    He first studied film at the University of Southern California's Summer Production Workshop in 1989 and completed the Curious Refuge AI Filmmaking Program in 2026. His work spans observational comedy, science fiction, and psychological thriller genres, including Not So Different (2026), Welcome Back, and Red Alert.

    Teichner develops the concepts, scripts, shot design, and editorial direction for his films. Not So Different incorporates his original photography as visual reference material. His films have received awards and official selections at traditional and AI-focused film festivals in North America, Europe, and Asia.

  • When he was an undergraduate student at Columbia University, William Teichner appeared in the background of a scene from Ghostbusters (1984) filmed on the university's main quadrangle. Between takes, he spoke with Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd.
