Silent District is a cinematic virtual band-world created and directed by Paolo Di Maio, with original music by Tavin Aulay.
Born from the fusion of music, cinema, political satire, visual art, and dark storytelling, Silent District is more than a band. It is a fictional universe with its own mythology, characters, symbols, and visual language.
The band is formed by Vox on lead vocals, March on drums, Vane on wind, Stay on bass, Vesper on violin, Sable on electric guitar, Cipher on keys, and Diablo on lyrics. Together, they create a sound that moves through alternative rock, electronic tension, cabaret noir, protest song, and dark cinematic atmosphere.
Through songs, music videos, graphic imagery, and narrative fragments, Silent District explores a world where power manipulates truth, compassion is treated as rebellion, and every living creature is forced to fight for dignity.
Its visual identity blends Russian Constructivist influence, gothic pop symbolism, political poster art, theatrical darkness, and surreal cinematic composition. Its work confronts themes of repression, animal rights, environmental collapse, social control, censorship, war, loneliness, and the fragile possibility of love in a brutal age.
Songs such as "The Signal" and "Il Verdetto" define Silent District’s voice: emotional, accusatory, poetic, and uncompromising.
Silent District is authored as a rights-clean, transparently directed virtual music project, with Paolo Di Maio serving as ideator, writer, lyricist, visual director, and creative architect, and Tavin Aulay as composer.
Silent District is not an escape from the real world. It is the sound of what happens when the real world can no longer be ignored.
