Apollonio Pallotta

Apollonio Pallotta was born in 1992 in Genzano di Roma, Italy. In 2006, he moved to Spoleto, in the province of Perugia, where he attended the Leoncillo Leonardi Art Institute, specializing in scenography. He graduated in 2011 with the qualification of Maestro d'Arte in Scenography. From 2011 to 2013, he studied film directing at ACT Multimedia in Rome, based at Cinecittà, graduating in directing. In the following years, he worked on various small independent productions and developed his experience as a filmmaker. His directorial works include For Her (2013) and Yuri (2024), an animated short film created through rotoscoping and digital painting, with a strong musical component. Yuri received an Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles Animation Film Festival and the Best Animated Music Video award at the Cannes Film Awards, and was also selected as a finalist at Tokyo Lift-Off Global Network and several other international film festivals. His work focuses on independent filmmaking, short films, animation and visually driven storytelling.
