Biography

Acclaimed music producer Lionel Hicks started his professional career as a drummer, playing with prominent bands, touring, and recording across the world before moving into music production. In 1993, he enrolled for a two-year college course at SAE London, UK, studying audio production and multimedia, where he graduated with flying colours.

He then opened POD recording studios in London, UK, where he engineered and produced many internationally released albums. Over the years, his production work has taken place in the USA, where he eventually teamed up with a fellow music producer and friend, Todd Fitzgerald. Together, they opened the very successful Winterland Studios, Minneapolis, USA, working with such clients as Sting, The Black Eyed Peas, Alanis Morissette, and Lenny Kravitz.

Lionel Cross migrated into film production in 2004. He has produced over 30 films since he transitioned from the music world to film production in 2006. Notable film credits include "I Am Not A Serial Killer" starring Christopher Lloyd. IANASK is the winner of 10 International film awards. "Extremis," aka "The Point Of Death," has 3 festival wins. "Riptide," starring Disney star Debby Ryan, was a theatrical release in 2018.

His most recent theatrical release, "The Infernal Machine," is a Paramount Pictures release starring Guy Pearce and Alice Eve 2022. "The Infernal Machine" was released theatrically worldwide in the last quarter of 2022. Lionel also specialises in finance for film and TV on all levels and has multiple film executive producer credits, including "The Unholy Trinity" starring Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson. In 2024/2025, Lionel produced "Killer Whale"(Lionsgate)and psychological thriller "Crushed." he has recently produced "Call of the Void" aka "Don't Jump," which is currently in post-production. He is also in prep, producing supernatural drama "Poor Boy" starring Guy Pearce. Lionel is CEO of Liquid Noise Films.
