Biography

Roopesh Parekh is a British film and television producer whose work spans scripted genres such as drama, fantasy, and literary adaptation. He has produced and executive-produced projects for major broadcasters and studios, including the BBC, HBO, Disney+, and Lucasfilm, and has worked with production companies such as David Heyman's Heyday Films, Sam Mendes's Neal Street Productions, Carnival Film & Television, and Bad Wolf Productions.

Roopesh most recently served as Producer on the Marvel Studios series Vision Quest and as Executive Producer on Willow (Disney+ / Lucasfilm), overseeing both large-scale international productions. He is also an Executive Producer on Riz Ahmed's forthcoming Amazon series, Bait.

Other notable works include serving as a Series Producer on Bad Wolf's His Dark Materials (BBC/HBO) across the second season of the adaptation of Philip Pullman's novels.

His earlier producing credits include Mammoth Screen's Poldark (BBC), Heyday Films' The Long Song (BBC), and Agatha Christie adaptations, Ordeal by Innocence and And Then There Were None.

Roopesh's career has focused on delivering high-quality scripted drama through close collaboration with Showrunners and Directors, building their creative teams, providing physical production expertise, and exceptional production management, all fuelled through an indefatigable passion for telling great stories.

He continues to work within the UK and international production landscape on a range of film and television projects.
