- Lu Hanessian is an award-winning journalist, author, and syndicated columnist, active speaker and international educator, former NBC Network anchor of "Real Life", correspondent/host "Unsolved Mysteries, "and host of Discovery Health Channel Host of "Make Room for Baby" and "Total Family Health." She is the author of several books, including "Let the Baby Drive" (St. Martin's Press, 2004). She moderated PBS This Emotional Life special on Attachment through the Life Span. - Lu is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and grew up in Montreal, Canada where she began her careers in writing and television. She is a McGill University graduate, with an additional diploma in Health Sciences from John Abbott College. She is also an accomplished pianist, singer and songwriter, educated in classical piano at the Toronto Conservatory of Music and jazz piano at Eastman School of Music. After the birth of her two sons, she penned and recorded a CD of "lullabies for moms" called "The Gift of Love: Songs for a Mother's Journey".
