Lorenzo Coral is an Italian actor and screenwriter from Moncalieri, Turin. He has built a multidisciplinary career that combines acting and writing, developing film projects distinguished by their focus on character psychology and contemporary social issues. His experience spans film, advertising, theatre, and original content creation, establishing him as a versatile creative professional working both in front of and behind the camera.
After graduating from the Primo Liceo Artistico of Turin with a specialization in audiovisual and multimedia arts, Coral continued his training at the Performing Arts University of Turin (P.A.U.T.), where he specialized in Physical Theatre under the guidance of Philip Radice, following the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq, one of the most influential methodologies in contemporary actor training. Alongside his studies, he participated in professional workshops and productions, developing experience as an actor, writer, casting director, and acting coach.
Throughout his career, Coral has appeared in a variety of film and audiovisual productions, including short films, music videos, and national advertising campaigns. His credits include Fuochi d'Artificio, Doran the Mystic Warrior, and several independent productions. In 2024, he starred in Intimissimi Uomo's nationwide Christmas advertising campaign. He has also collaborated on multiple occasions with acclaimed Italian filmmaker Pupi Avati, returning for a second production under Avati's direction with Nel Tepore Del Ballo. His experience on set extends beyond acting, having worked across various creative and production departments on independent projects.
As a writer and screenwriter, Coral develops stories that explore complex themes such as mental health, identity, discrimination, human relationships, and social adversity. He is the writer and director of Ob Livium, a psychological thriller inspired by real cases of dissociative identity disorder and gender-based violence. He also wrote the feature film Little Bird, a drama exploring eating disorders, bullying, depression, and emotional relationships through the story of a young woman struggling with anorexia.
His theatrical background remains a fundamental part of his creative identity. Through extensive work on movement, physical expression, and character development, he has cultivated a performance style influenced by contemporary physical theatre and a constant exploration of the actor's expressive potential.
Alongside his work in film, Coral is also a content creator and digital educator, producing original content that combines storytelling, performance, and educational outreach within the fields of fitness and personal development.
