Daughter of John L. Loeb Sr. and Frances Lehman Loeb of New York City.

She founded the Ann L. Bronfman Foundation.

She graduated from Rosemary Hall in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1950. She was a Trustee of the school. She graduated from Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont with a Bachelor's Degree.

She split her time between her home in Washington D.C. and Mackinac Island, Michigan where she was an avid sailor.

She is survived by five children; Sam Bronfman of Atherton, California; Edgar Bronfman Jr. of New York City; Holly Bronfman Lev of Charlottesville, Virginia; Matthew Bronfman of Westchester County, New York; and Adam Bronfman of Park City, Utah. She is survived by her twenty-five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a sister Deborah Loeb Brice of London, England; and two brothers, the Honorable John L. Loeb Jr. of New York City and her twin brother, Arthur Lehman Loeb of New York City.
