Biography

Benedikt Jóhannesson was born on September 27, 1983 in Búðardalur, Iceland. He is an editor, known for Heart of Stone (2023), True Detective (2014) and Soudain seuls (2023).

Is a huge fan of the composer Thomas Newman, especially of the music he composed for Road to Perdition.

His favorite TV shows are: Scrubs, CSI: Las Vegas, The Simpsons, The Family Guy and American Dad.

His favorite movies are: Meet Joe Black, Last of the Mohicans, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, 21 Grams, Road to Perdition and Last Samurai.

Currently working on the early stages of development for The Higher Force, the next movie his brother is making. And also doing followup work for The amazing truth about Queen Raquela.

Movies have always been there for me. So I tend to sink farther into the ones I like more then most people do. I cry when I see a beautiful movie, and I am not ashamed of it. For me, this is art. Making movies. For some people it's painting, some it's sculptures, for me it's the combination of film and music that moves me in a way that can't be matched.

She makes me smile when I don't feel like smiling at all. She makes me tingle by simply being there. I love here more then she knows. When I was in the abyss of my depression, she was the solitary light that brought me to the surface of life, and for all of this, I am eternally grateful.
