- Aaron Fernandez is a Mexican filmmaker. He has worked as a screenwriter, director and producer in several projects for cinema and TV. His first feature film, Used Parts, participated in more than 40 festivals and won several awards. The Empty Hours, his second film, premiered at the San Sebastian Festival. It won the Best Artistic Contribution Award at the Tokyo Film Festival and the Best Actress Award (Adriana Paz) and Special Jury Mention at the Morelia Film Festival. He directed the first 5 episodes of the TV series Alguien Más. His documentary A Philosopher in The Arena, participated in several festivals such as Guadalajara, Montreal and BAFICI and was the Mexican documentary with the highest attendance in theaters the year of its premiere. The Son of His Father is his fourth feature film.
