- A leading figure in Quebec genre cinema, Izabel Grondin specializes in thrillers, psychology and horror. Several of her short films have toured the world and won numerous awards. She is credited with the very first DVD compilation of horror shorts in Quebec: Folie passagères : contes trash et sournois, to be followed in 2015 by: Folies passagères 2: contes troubles et déviants. Her work has been the subject of several interviews and retrospectives.
Her short film La table made it to the semi-finals of the 2014 Jutra race and garnered over 4 million views before her YouTube channel was forced to be removed.
She is working on her first feature film, HORS-PISTE (Off-Track), a psychological thriller, as well as LES OUBLIÉS (She Warned Us...), a film adapted from the novel LE QUARTIER DES OUBLIÉS by Madeleine Robitaille.
