Seryozha Paramonov is a a Soviet singer who gained fame in the USSR in 1972-1975 as a soloist with the Grand Choir of All-Union Radio & Central TV under the direction of Viktor Popov.

Sergey Paramonov's love of music and singing emerged very early. While taking his three-year-old grandson for a walk, Seryozha's grandfather would often organize concerts of the future star for the old women gathered on the benches in the courtyard.

In 4th grade (1971), Seryozha's grandmother, brought him to the USSR State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company's Children's Choir. He passed the competitive selection process. He stood out from the other guys because he sang with pleasure, without any visible effort, and a year later, despite the fact that, according to Viktor Popov’s recollections, he had poor health, he became a soloist. His official solo debut took place on December 16, 1972, at the main pop concert of the year, 'Song-72'. There, Paramonov performed "Crocodile Gena's Song" from the animated film Cheburashka (1971). Many songs from Sergey Paramonov's repertoire were specially written for him by the authors. Seryozha was incredibly popular - he was a child legend of those years, beloved by all. Members of the government applauded him and shook his hand.

In 1975, Sergey left the choir and entered an evening music school, where he studied piano, where he completed three classes in a year. He then entered the preparatory department of the Ippolitov-Ivanov Music College, studied there for a year, and then entered the conducting and choral department of this school.

When Paramonov performed the war song "Farewell, Rocky Mountains," composer Evgeniy Zharkovskiy, who wrote the music for this song and had heard it performed many times, could not hold back his tears.

On May 17, 1975, at a creative evening with poet Robert Rozhdestvenskiy in the Column Hall of the House of Unions, while performing the song "Request", Paramonov realized that he could not control his voice - he had begun to experience a vocal mutation.
