Henry Gonzalez Burgos

Cuban-American Director, Cinematographer and Editor, Henry González Burgos developed a passion for the performing arts from an early age. Driven by his love for cinema, he immigrated to the United States at 19 to pursue his dreams. He later trained at the prestigious NYU Tisch, completing Film & TV Industry Essentials in 2022.

As a director, writer, editor, and cinematographer, he has worked on short films including (Dade Cook), (Grief), and (360 Degrees). His work has earned recognition across multiple film festivals, including winning Best Drama Short for (Grief) at the New Jersey Film Awards 2022 and Best Documentary Short for (Dade Cook) at the New Jersey Film Awards 2023, as well as Best Short Documentary at the Toronto International Filmmakers Festival 2023.

His films have also been recognized as a finalist at the Cannes Film Awards 2024 and Independent Shorts Awards 2024, a nominee at Indie Short Fest 2024, a quarter-finalist at the New York International Film Awards, and winner of Best Short Documentary at the Cult Movies International Film Festival 2023. In 2026, his short film (360 Degrees) won Best Silent Film at the New York International Film Awards, alongside numerous other festival selections.
