Chad Frye's career began on the East Coast in 1991 as a children's book illustrator and animator, later moving to the West Coast to work in Hollywood's animation industry. He worked at Disney Feature Animation on nine motion pictures including "Mulan," "Tarzan," "The Emperor's New Groove," "Atlantis: The Lost Empire," "Treasure Planet," and "Home on the Range." Following that, the opportunity arose to work as an artist for Disney Television Animation on the preschool shows "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and "My Friends Tigger & Pooh." After ten years with Disney, he worked as the character designer for two seasons of the series "Lalaloopsy" that aired on Nick Jr., as well as other projects for various studios such as Warner Bros., Splash Entertainment, Wild Canary, Toonacious, and The Third Floor. Chad continues to create illustrations for magazines and books (with about forty books to his credit), while also working as a storyboard artist or character designer in animation.
