Ettore D'Alessandro

Overview

  • Born
June 4, 1975 · Casale Monferrato, Piedmont, Italy
  • Height
    5′ 8½″ (1.74 m)

Biography

  • Ettore was born in a small village in northern Italy. At 14 he thought he would grow up to be a motorcycle champion. At 18 his career ended with an accident at 200 km/h; he barely made it out alive. After the incident, he went on to fulfill a passion for parties at nightclubs. Three years later, after being the artistic director of over 50 "One-night," he said goodbye to the nightlife with Cinescope, at the time one of the best after hours in Italy, with 65 DJs and 18 hours of uncut, uninterrupted music. He moved to Rome to study acting and went on every possible job on a film set. After writing and directing a few short films, he moved to Los Angeles to work on his skills. A few years later he leaves the US and back in Italy participated in the most popular TV shows, getting into films with the polemic MARY (Abel Ferrara) winner of the Grand Jury special price at the Mostra Internazionale di Arte Cinematográfica di Venezia. Around that time he met his life partner and co-producer, Carolina Encarnación, with whom he has a child, Hector Javier. A sort of sabbath year in the Dominican Republic turn into his life second chance, and eventually became his big break: he wrote, produced and performed in his first film, "Sambá", official selection at 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, nominated Best International Narrative Feature. Ettore is also a published award-winning author. In Italy, his first book "Senza Fiato" won the 2018 International Literary Award "Cittá di Cattolica", as best book.
