Biography

Ian MacIntyre is a television screenwriter who wrote on all 4 seasons of the Netflix original series Degrassi: Next Class (for which he won a Writers Guild of Canada award). He has written for numerous animated shows, including Saving Me, Inspector Gadget, and D.N.Ace, as well as the satirical news comedy The Beaverton. Originally from Nova Scotia, Ian has developed series for Nickelodeon as well as CBC television, and co-wrote an award-winning stage adaptation of astronaut Chris Hadfield's children's book The Darkest Dark. He also led the writing team as Senior Narrative Designer for Uken Games, creating new stories for the popular mobile game Ava's Manor.
