Biography

Stephen is the book writer of "Feels Like the First Time: The Foreigner Musical," which makes its world premiere at the Tilles Center in NY in April 2026. He is also the writer/creator of the cult musical, "The Bardy Bunch: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady," which played at The Mercury Theater in Chicago in 2016 and Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Cement's in 2014. His musical Hallmark parody, "Five Golden Rings: A Greeting Card Channel Holiday Musical," was acquired by Broadway Licensing in 2020 and and his bio-musical (co-written) "Stages of Rita: The Rita Hayworth Musical," premiered at The Cockpit in London in 2022.

Stephen's short film "Love and Near Death" premiered at the Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival in 2024 and has gone on to screen at the Atlanta Women's Film Festival (Winner - Best Romantic Comedy), The Ashland Film Festival and others. His 2005 comedy "Boy-Next-Door" premiered at HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in 2005 and screened at the Austin Film Festival, Hollywood Shorts (Winner - Final Draft Award), Key West Indiefest (Winner - Best Narrative), WorldFest (Gold Remi Winner - Comedy), and Big Bear Lake Film Festival (Winner - Audience Award). His short film, "Allergic Reaction," premiered at the Iron Mule Comedy Screening Series in 2017.

His script "9/11 Kevin" was honored with a staged reading at the Nantucket Film Festival in 2005 and his screenplay "Chasing Disaster" was in development at FilmNation in 2009.
