Biography

Mandy Fason was born in Hot Springs, AR. Mandy is the oldest of three children. Her background includes ballet, tap and jazz dance. It was her love for dance, performing arts, and beauty pageants as a teenager that made her realize how much she enjoyed the stage and full-scale productions. She began her acting career at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, CA (AADA/West). From there she went on to learn the industry working both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. She works on the stage, in television and film and in the commercial/commercial print world.

Mandy is a proud single parent of two children. She was the first in her family lineage to graduate from college, and she did so as a single parent. She earned her degree in English with a concentration in literature and a minor in theatre from the University of North Texas.

Additionally, she has experience in costume design, directing, script supervision, and production.

Mandy is also a published author, with her children's book "Lavender & Butterflies" available in English and Spanish. Mandy has an original screenplay "Lavender & The Butterfly Nation," an animated feature film based on her book, in development further expanding her horizons in the entertainment landscape.

Mandy Fason is a company member of Theatre Forty in Beverly Hills, California. Theatre Forty began in 1964 and was the recipient of the Margaret Harford Small Theatre Award in 1995, given by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle for continuing excellence in theatre. Originally, Theatre Forty produced only Shakespeare and the Classics, but have broadened programming to include American classics, World and Los Angeles premieres and plays by our own members.
