Sandy Chertok is a writer, director, and producer from New York City.
Sandy has written screenplays for hire and has also written a number of
spec screenplays and spec TV pilots that have placed in numerous
contests including Chesterfield Writer's Project (finalist), Austin
Film Festival Screenplay and Teleplay Contests (second rounders), and
Writer's Foundation America's Best Original Sitcom Contest (finalist -
sponsored by NBC).
She has produced two short films that have played at numerous film festivals including Tribeca Underground, BAM's Brooklyn Digifest, Tambay, Wilmington, Queens International, Virigia Beach, Stony Brook, Fiery Film Fest, Shoestring (in L.A.), Westcliffe Digital, Pencil Head's Dawn 'Til Dusk, and Oxnard. Both films won awards at the Rochester International Film Festival.
She is currently in development on her feature film directing debut with a foreign acting attachment and is always on the lookout for a new project.
