Erdal Ruhi Duran is a Turkish director, writer and actor whose work brings together cinema and the performing arts. After studying Political Science and Public Administration, he pursued professional training in acting, directing, voice and presentation at Ankara Deneme Sahnesi, Sadri Alışık Academy, Başkent Communication Academy and Cinema Technical Academy.
Duran has worked across theatre, cinema and promotional film production, combining his experience in different artistic disciplines with a strong interest in visual storytelling. He has been involved in stage productions with established theatre companies including Ankara Deneme Sahnesi, Tiyatro Sahne and Hayali Kumpanya.
As a filmmaker, he has worked as a writer and director on several projects, including the award-winning short films Nosedive, Leke and Balerin. His work has received recognition at international and national film festivals.
Alongside his artistic career, Duran serves as president and instructor of the Theatre Club of the T.R. Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. He is also a member of the Ankara Photographic Artists Association (AFSAD), reflecting his continued interest in photography, visual composition and cinematic aesthetics.
