Has won fifty-one poker tournaments with buy-ins of $500 or more.

Is often referred to as the best poker player never to have won the world series of poker main event.

Had a brief career in the Canadian Football League.

Won bracelets at World Series of Poker in Limit Omaha Hi (1987), Limit Omaha 8 or Better (1994), Pot Limit Hold'em (1994), Pot Limit Omaha Hi (1998), Razz (2004) and No Limit Hold'em (2005).

Currently resides in Richardson, Texas.
