Biography

Costume designer Ivy Thaide has designed over 70 diverse projects thus far. They include fashion forward shows like Pretty Little Liars (Episode 611), reality game show in The Hunted for CBS, fantasy in Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight for Th CW Network, and a nutty professor for John Cleese in Time Rider for an attraction in Germany. In 2015 Ivy was nominated for an Emmy in Outstanding Costume Design in a Contemporary series as assistant costume designer while working with Costume Designer Salvador Perez on The Mindy Project. She has also assisted on such memorable shows as Altered Carbon S2, The Orville S2, and Pitch Perfect 2. While Ivy is inspired by vintage and historical design, she uses the language of clothing to tell a story which appeals to a modern audience regardless of genre, using even the smallest of details to develop a character. Ivy is presently serving as Vice President of The Costume Designers Guild, Local 892.
