Biography

Neeme Järvi was born on June 7, 1937 in Tallinn, Estonia. He is known for Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017), Joy (2015) and Neruda (2016). He is married to Liilia. They have three children.

Conductor of the Gothenberg Symphony Orchestra from 1982 to 2004. With them, he has made many recordings, including all of the orchestral music of Edvard Grieg.

Was principal conductor of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra from 1990 to 2005.

He is currently (2006) the conductor of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra.

Became an American citizen in 1987.
