María Ignacia Allamand Lyon is a Chilean actress who debuted in the movie Se Arrienda. She has also performed as a playwright in charge of the adaptation of Edmond and as the author of The 80s, The Musical. She is the daughter of the former Chilean Minister of Defense and former Presidential candidate Andrés Allamand Zavala and Bárbara Lyon, recognized for her work in the Alter Ego Foundation. . Due to the work of her father, she lived part of her adolescence in Washington D.C., and then returned to study theater at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She was also based in Buenos Aires, where she studied acting.

Her debut as an actress was in 2005's Se Arrienda by Alberto Fuguet. Two years later, she debuted on television with the role of teenager Eloísa Solé in Vivir con 10, the first TV series from Chilevisión, which won her an APES Award in 2008.

She married actor Tiago Correa on April 18, 2010. One year later, they confirmed their separation by mutual agreement.

In 2013, Allamand collaborated and participated in her father's presidential campaign.

In 2014, she translated and adapted the play Edmond by prominent US playwright David Mamet, and the following year she wrote The 80s, The Musical.

Since her debut on television she has done almost her entire career on the channel Chilevisión. On the film side, she is a stable part of almost all the films of her great friend Nicolás López, who even came to work with Eli Roth in several of them.
