Yerimar Estrada is a Puerto Rican filmmaker and audiovisual technician. She graduated from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón (2025) after completing a bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Production and Film with two minor concentrations in 3D Animation and News Broadcasting for Radio and TV. During her college years, she has involved herself in multiple independent film projects as a video editor, production assistant, DP, producer, and actress. Yerimar debuted her work as a scriptwriter and director in the 48-hour film project, where she co-wrote and directed Una Carta de Allá Bajo (2025). She also worked as a key production assistant, script supervisor, and extra in an NYU thesis film, The First Rain in May (2026), written and directed by Asiana Weddington.
She contributed to the university's newscast, STV Noticias, as an audiovisual technician, video editor, and photojournalist and received an award from the Student Production Awards Suncoast Chapter, issued by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, for her work as a camera operator after STV Noticias won the newscast college category (2025). Not only that, but she was also nominated in another category for her work as a videographer in Objetivo 2024, a political television program broadcasted on WIPR-TV, after it was nominated in a different category.
