K Sooraj Shetty

K. Sooraj Shetty is an Indian film director and writer known for his work in Tulu cinema (regional films from coastal Karnataka). In the early days of his career, he worked as an assistant cameraman in the Kannada film industry. He has experience working on more than 25 films under various cinematographers. He has directed several popular Tulu films including Ekka Saka (2015), Pilibail Yamunakka (2016) and Ammer Polisa (2018). Pilibail Yamunakka, One of his major hits enjoyed a long and successful theatrical run, earning him widespread recognition. Beyond directing, he has also worked as a screenplay and story writer on several projects, contributing significantly to the growth of the contemporary Tulu film industry.
