Matty Wishnow

"The Last Critic" (2026) is Matty Wishnow’s directorial debut. Previously, he was the founder of Insound.com-"the internet’s first record store"-as well as Tiger Style Records, Drillteam and Clearhead. He is the author of "Listening for Growth: What Startups Need the Most but Hear the Least." Matty writes regularly about advanced baseball statistics and music made in 1977 (as well as music made before and after 1977) at Pastpri.me. Matty graduated with a BA in Art: Semiotics from Brown University and, along with his wife and three children, lives in Austin, Texas and Waitsfield, Vermont.
